1. Apply Fertilome's Grub Free Zone II on your lawn now to kill the grub form of the Japanese Beetle. 2. Protect trees and shrubs (especially Lindens, birches, roses) with a systemic insectide. Try Fertilome's Tree & Shrub Systemic Insect Drench. 3. For fruits and veggies, Captain Jack's Spinosad is an effective organic product or use Carbaryl. 4. Need to reach a tall tree? Bonide's Beetle Killer attaches to your hose and shoots 25 feet. 5. Japanese Beetle traps are effective and satisfying. They will attract beetles from your neighbor's yard, too!
