Desk Zen: Succulent & Sand Garden Workshop
Thursday, July 16, 4-6 PM

Escape the daily grind and channel your inner peace with a hands-on, wellness-focused planting experience. In this workshop, you will design and assemble your own miniature sanctuary—a 10" tabletop Zen garden perfectly sized to bring a sense of calm to your workspace or home desk.

We will guide you through the art of mindful landscaping, combining the structural beauty of hardy, low-maintenance succulents with crisp white sand. To complete your living art piece, you’ll add a miniature wooden Zen rake, allowing you to clear your mind by combing meditative patterns into the sand whenever you need a mindful break during the workday. 

Our staff will guide you through the process and provide care instructions. Whether you are looking to green up your office, reduce workday stress, or simply enjoy a relaxing botanical project, this workshop offers the perfect blend of gardening and grounding wellness.

The Great Succulent Upcycle Challenge

Got an old work boot gathering dust? A rusty toolbox sitting in the garage? A vintage teapot with a crack? Don't throw it out—plant it!

Join us for a hands-on day of turning everyday "trash" into botanical treasure. Bring your own quirky, upcycled container from home, and we’ll help you transform it into a stunning, hardy succulent masterpiece.

The Contest:
Leave your finished creation with us for the day! Our staff and customers will vote on the most creative, unique, and beautiful upcycled designs.

  • The Pollinator Connection: Discover the vital relationships between specific native plants and local pollinators. You'll learn exactly what to plant to attract host butterflies, native bees, and songbirds to your backyard.
  • Design & Landscape Tips: Learn how to seamlessly integrate these native beauties into your existing landscape, group them for maximum visual impact, and care for them season after season.
