Job Title: Cashier - Customer Care Team
Job Location: Burlington, WI
Full/Part-time: Part-time and Seasonal
Summary:
Burlington Garden Center is well known for our outstanding plant quality and selection. Equally important is the quality of our people. With our busy season just around the corner we are seeking seasonal Cashier/Customer Care Members to work in our Garden Center. While some retail experience is preferred, we are happy to train you. The most important qualities we look for are friendly people, willing to learn, with a positive attitude to our customers and staff. We prefer candidates with knowledge of plants or horticulture background, but we are open to training willing enthusiasts. Yes, there will be quick paced days, but if you are looking for an opportunity to work in a casual, “feels-like-family” atmosphere, please send us your resume.
Responsibilities:
* Selling customers what they need to succeed
* Ring up sales
* Help customers load purchases, some moderately heavy lifting (about 50 lbs)
* Answer customer questions and be able to direct them to the appropriate person if you don't know the answer.
* Stocking, pricing products
* Merchandising and creating displays
* Sharing knowledgeable advice to our customers
* Working with plants - especially houseplants
* Help with other Garden Center duties
Expectations:
* Friendly, positive attitude is a must!
* Previous experience in a retail environment is helpful but not required
* Able to be pleasant and helpful even during very busy periods
* Gardening enthusiast a plus
* Ability to work some weekends
* Attentive to customers and customer service

This is a seasonal position - 20-30 hours/week, March- June, possibly extending into the fall.
